As the end of 2019 approaches, the 2020 model year vehicles have begun to arrive – the 2020 Passat is the second, but the first truly re-designed model to hit our lot.
The 2020 Passat boasts a sharper design than the last, borrowing from the angular lines on the new Jetta. The platform has been revamped with “six stability-enhancing features” and a rigid safety cage (VW.com). A turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine is the only power option, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic and sport mode. It produces 174-horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque.

Infotainment has been upgraded too, with more standard features across each trim level, including:
- Rear View camera system
- Blind Spot Monitor
- Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring
- VW CarNet App Connect
- LED headlights and taillights
- Power heated side mirrors with memory
- 6.3″ media touchscreen
- Bluetooth
- Cruise control
